MeHI, through its Project Management Office, assists, coordinates and facilitates the efforts of the Health Information Technology-Health Information Exchange Advisory Committee (HIT-HIE Advisory Committee), while ad hoc workgroups continue to broaden the base of input into key Health IT issues. This Advisory Committee serves as the mechanism for channeling advice and recommendations from interested private and public sector constituencies to the Health Information Technology Council (Health IT Council), which is chaired by Secretary Marylou Sudders. The Advisory Committee’s primary focus is to advise and make recommendations on all aspects of the design and implementation of the state's HIE, the Mass HIway, as well as on other health information technology policies for the Commonwealth. The Advisory Committee will be instrumental in fostering effective public-private collaboration and will make invaluable contributions to the shape and successful implementation of the statewide HIE.
Please refer to the link below for the joint Health IT Council and the HIT-HIE Advisory Committee meeting information. Meetings are scheduled from 3:30-5:00 pm at One Ashburton Place, Boston.
