Through Executive Orders #574 and #585, Governor Charlie Baker established the Massachusetts Digital Healthcare Council. The role of the Digital Health Council is to advise the Governor on the digital health industry, and to develop a three-year growth plan to achieve the goal of creating the leading global ecosystem for digital health in Massachusetts.
Report
As part of this growth plan, the Council developed a report, that identifies eight near-term priority initiative recommendations. The report outlines the recommendations, the Council's activities to date, and its plans to implement the initiatives going forward.
Several of these initiatives are already underway, including:
- Establish a Digital Health Sandbox Network
- Establish a digital health cybersecurity Group of Experts and Resource Guide
- Establish a pre-eminent digital health conference in Massachusetts
- Support the growth and continued success of MassChallenge HealthTech
- Provide a centralized web portal for digital health resources
