AGENCY, the Global Longevity Collaborative at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), is helping to build a more age-friendly world. Launched in 2018, AGENCY is a new co-working innovation hub for collective impact where entrepreneurs, enterprises, experts and elders with an interest in aging and longevity can work side-by-side to explore and apply ideas for aging populations around the globe. AGENCY forms a crossroads where innovators in all sectors with aging and longevity as a lens will be able to meet, host events, engage the healthcare community, turn their ideas into commercial successes, and grow their companies.
To support the growth of innovation in aging and longevity, MeHI awarded the initial $100,000 of seed grant funding for AGENCY. Since the announcement of the initial public grant on November 1, 2018, private partners have nearly tripled the Commonwealth’s pledge, and over a dozen cross-sector organizations have signed on to produce collaborative programs, showing the power of public/private partnership here in Massachusetts, according to AGENCY.
MeHI serves as a strategic partner to AGENCY, helping to develop strategies and programs that will bring together public policy leaders, digital health entrepreneurs, and medical researchers from across the Commonwealth.
AGENCY’s co-working space is located in CIC’s new location at 245 Main Street, Cambridge, in the heart of Kendall Square’s thriving innovation community and across the Charles River from several of the top research hospitals in the world.
